I am very excited about becoming a math teacher in the near future. I have created this Wiki to give my potential students an overview of my classroom.
My philosphy of teaching is based on respect. I will respect you as an individual, and I expect the same respect in return. As your teacher, I promise to be fair and treat you with dignity. I will greet you as you enter my classroom and call you by name as much as possible.
I expect you to be in class every day; both phyiscally and mentally! All of my classroom expectations will be addressed in the Expections Section.
About Mrs. Elliott
I am a UAB graduate student working on a Master's Degree in Secondary Math Education. I originally earned an Accounting Degree from UAB in 2001 and passed the CPA exam in 2004. After working in the corporate world, I decided to return to school in order to become a math teacher.
I will graduate from UAB in the Spring of 2013. Upon graduation, I will be a highly qualified math teacher.
I live in Hoover with my husband, 2 sons, and cat. We are active in church, sports, and boy scouts.
